Tammy is the managing partner of Kirshon & Company, P.C. and was instrumental in the alliance between DocFinancial and Kirshon. She brings more than thirty years of public accounting experience in a variety of industries and services to enable DocFinancial to continue to grow and thrive.
Tammy specializes in forensic accounting, exploring problem areas, formulating solutions, and communicating effectively with vendors, clients, staff, and others. Recently, Tammy and the Kirshon team successfully challenged the assessment in a major tax audit case, reducing it by 82.5% and saving the client $429,000. This took extensive research, communication, and business acumen.
Tammy Kirshon is active in the Hudson Valley community. She is a former member of the Board of Visitors of the Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital of Westchester Medical Center. She is a Past Board Vice President of the Saint Francis Hospital and helped lead the troubled hospital through bankruptcy transition and acquisition by Westchester Medical Center. She has also served on other various boards in the Hudson Valley.
Tammy received her B.S. Degree in Accounting from SUNY Plattsburgh with qualifications including Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), as well as a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts, Hudson Valley Estate Planning Council, an associate member Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and a member of the AAPC (American Academy of Professional Coders).
