Ann Kummer has nearly 25-years experience working in public accounting providing accounting, tax and fiduciary services to small to mid-sized organizations, high net-worth individuals, and estates and trusts. She works with multi-doctor medical practices as well as solo providers of medical services as well as other industries such as retailers, consultants, real estate brokers and investors. Ann provides representation services including preparation of prior year and amended returns, tax exams, appeals, and collection agreements. Ann’s robust organizational and communication skills, along with her aptitude for compliance matters, make her an asset to the team.
Ann is active in various professional and community organizations. She is a Past President of the New York State Society of Enrolled Agents (NYSSEA), an organization of more than 700 members, and has chaired or participated on several committees for NYSSEA and for the National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA). She is a former Trustee and Treasurer of the Beekman Library Association. She has also educated tax professionals at conferences, appeared on Tax Talk Today, a monthly live, tax professional web-broadcast, and co-authored two articles for the NAEA EA Journal.
Ann received her B.S. Degree from Ithaca College and her M.S. Degree in Accounting from the University of Connecticut. Ann is licensed to practice as an Enrolled Agent (EA), a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) credential. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, NAEA, NYSSEA, the Hudson Valley Estate Planning Council, and the AAPC (American Academy of Professional Coders).
