Mark joined Kirshon & Company as a seasoned audit professional in 2009. He formerly held the position of Senior Associate with a global Big 4 accounting firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP (PwC). He began his career with PwC in 2003 and held leadership positions on audit engagements of large publicly traded companies where he supervised teams of professionals. His industry experience includes technology, software, health care, and manufacturing. 

Mark’s areas of expertise include internal controls assessments for both small and large organizations and process improvement recommendations for ambulatory surgery centers, medical practices, and pharmaceutical companies. 

Mark is a 2012 graduate of the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Dutchess Program and has supported a variety of not-for-profit organizations in the area. He has served on the Board of Directors and Finance Committee of the New Horizons Foundation. 

Mark received his B.S. Degree in Accounting and Finance and an M.S. in Accounting from Boston College. Mark holds a license to practice as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and holds designations as a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) and Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA). Business valuation requires a deep understanding of business drivers, processes and procedures, as well as sophisticated and financial analysis and models. 

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts, and a member of the AAPC (American Academy of Professional Coders).
